DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS YOUR BRAND IDENTITY?
DO YOU KNOW YOUR FOOD IDENTITY?

The retail food industry understands brand like no other. The look, the feel, the interior design, the atmosphere all creates the emotion and desirability around a food business. What food you offer, the quality of it and the whole concept needs to tie in with the brand for business success.

What do we do?

IT’S ALL ABOUT CREATING DESIRABILITY IN THE MIND OF THE CONSUMER

We help create food retail food brands that can succeed within the highly competitive landscape. Food retail is now the most prominent factor in high street retail with an abundance of new concepts and exotic cuisines being launched every year. However the market is dominated by big American players and to find your niche in all of this and have the ability to sustain and grow requires a well thought out strategy.

CHECK OUT OMNOM

Here we created the concept of a conscious eating establishment combined with a yoga studio in a prime retail location in the heart of Islington. Hence the name- OMNOM, a marriage between spirituality and food. As well as creating the concept, we designed the interiors using 3d modelling software to try out various looks and feels. From here we managed the execution of the interior design in the space and helped launch and market it. This project is backed by Russell Brand.

#1 Brand strategy

How you sit with your competitors? How will you differentiate yourself? What is the brand architecture going forward? These questions and more need answering.

#2 Naming

A great name and tag line is the main communication vehicle to unpack the brand. It needs to be memorable and for that it needs to be well crafted and well thought through.

#3 Menu creation

The food is the engine that will run the business. How it relates to the brand through concept and naming is critical.

#4 Brand design

One of the first places to translate brand thinking to brand execution is the logo, colours, point of sale and website creation.

#5 Food photography

Imaginative, creative and well shot food photographs are the key to create desirability in the minds of consumers.

#6 Interior design

The look and feel of a store is one of the key differentiators in food retail. The ability to design a space that creates an impression and is consistently executed is vital.

#7 Marketing

Food retail businesses are built on word of mouth. To accelerate that awareness, we create events and campaigns to drive footfall.

#8 Franchising/new stores

Once you've got it working right in one place, this gives you the recipe to move into multiple sites and locations and create a powerful food retail offering.

SUCCESS STORIES

BRIM

Opened in 2020, we helped develop this smash burger concept, coming up with the Name BRIM and the tag Big Juicy Burgers. We designed every store and helped launch them. The franchise has grown rapidly with 4 stores open: Hemel, Luton, Chesham and Westfield Stratford, with the following opening in 2023: Westfield Shepherds Bush, Watford, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Aylesbury and Finchley Road.

Mumbai Local

Opened in 2015, this Indian street food concept was in a highly competitive arena of multiple independent Indian restaurants and needed a way to stand out. We created the concept which was based around a more street food offering of Indian food. We created the name and worked with the team on the interior design of the stores. There are now four owner operated stores: Wembley, Rayners Lane, Harrow and Kingsbury, and is in the process of going on the journey to franchising.

Om Nom

Opened in 2019, we spent a lot of time developing the concept of marrying urban spirituality with the conscious eating movement. We developed the name OMNOM and having acquired a fantastic site in the heart of Islington, we created 3D models to try out different interior design looks and feels, then helped execute the final look and feel within the store.

Wa Wa Wings

Opened in 2021, this concept is on the heels of the massive American trend of wing stores which are now starting to come over to the UK. We developed the name Hench, the look and feel and the interiors. Currently there is one concept store, sites have been acquired in South Kensington, Westfield Shepherds Bush and Stratford all opening in Q1 2023 .

Hench

Opened in 2020, this was taking an existing successful operation which to grow to the next level required an improvement in their brand and offering. We created the name, reworked the whole menu to simplify it and drastically changed the interiors, look and feel of it. Currently there is one store with the groundwork being put in place to franchise out in 2023.

The Terrace Eatery

A long running and successful business, we came in to sharpen the concept and the look & feel of the space. This involving reworking the identity and applying it consistently in store.

MOOD

Opened in 2019, a small vegan offering which was designed to capture the trend in this growing market. We created the name and the menu concept for it to work out of a very small retail unit with the intent to grow this out further.
